This is less about mental intrusion and more about soul, but it's still very possible Anakin would be able to hide things deep! Especially if he's using the Force as a cover, which I imagine is sort-of soul-linked.

Gabe most definitely has seen Star Wars, but don't worry! It's much more fun to leave Ani in the dark. ;)
